Same Difference

This is a really good on line comic book. Comic books are usually written well or illustrated well. It's rare that you see one that's both written and illustrated well like this one:

Check it out.

Sick With No Power

Our house has been sick for the last week. We've all had the same cold, firs Allison got it, then Quinn, then Me. I was flat on my back for at least 2 days this past weekend. I'm still getting over it, I'm groggy with a sore throat and trying to focus on work.

Also, last night we faced one of the worst wind storms I have ever seen. Tree branches were coming down all over the place. One of the bigger tree branches from our redwood tree in our front yard ended up in our back yard, it was shocking to hear. I was just glad it wasn't the whole tree. The power went out in our neighborhood around 11:30 PM last night and as of right now, 10:00 AM it's still out. I called the power help line, they said they hope to get it up and running today, but they don't know if they will. I'm sure at this point that all the food in our refrigerator is bad, and we just did a grocery run over the weekend, so it was a pretty fully stocked frige. Other then that everyone is doing fine.

Even More Required Web Video watching

I'm not a fan of Fear Factor or America's Funnyest Home Videos. I'm starting to think now that it's becouse I can understand the language. What better way to watch these things then ouside my own native toung. Take this one for example:

This one is just better without a description:

If Hollywood was making this video, they would have used some buff mail super model, or at least someone who can dance. This guy who looks like he was just pulled off the street. Unfortentley they also put him into tiny swim trunks. Still it's better then American MTV:

The Only Way to Read Garfild

This page randomly selects three pannels from the comic strip Garfild. Every time you hit reload and you get a new strip. I hear this is the way Jim Davis makes them too:

Make your own:

The only other way to read Garfild is from this website:

See:

It's a website by Jack Masters, who also has a blog:

Yes you will go insane if you read them.

If you value your time, you will not go to this link. It's fun and addictive:

Holly Crap, technology that works!

I've been reading about this website called Pandora for a while. It's a website, where you enter in the music you like, then it will create a radio station for you. It will first play the music you entered in, then it will play music that you might also like. You can then rate that music as it plays, if you like it or don't like it. After rating some music it will get to know you better and play more music that you
might like. I entered in DJ Shadow and Z-Trip. At first it started playing a bunch of Dance tracks all of which I rated with a big fat thumbs down. Then it started getting better, it started playing stuff I
liked. Eventually it played a track from Iron and Wine that I loved as well as some José González which was dead on to the stuff I like! To go from DJ Shadow to José González is impressive for any program. I now have an Amoeba shopping list of bands I've never heard of who have great tracks.

Good stuff!

If you'd like to listen to my radio station just put in my email address.

My Map

I found this website via animation podcast. They had a map of Animation Places of Interest. So I thought I'd make one of Ethan's Places of Interest. It's just a beginning, I'm plugging in stuff as I think of them.

This is one of those foreign game shows that I hope makes the transition to American Television (like the way "Surviver" and "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" did). I don't know Japanese, so I don't know what's "Really Going On" but I think if I did, it would only lesson the experience:

Girls With Meat On Their Heads with a Lisard

Um...I don't know how to describe this one
